Managing Director, Head of Corporate Finance, Barclays
Frank has been Managing Director and Head of Corporate Finance for Barclays Bank in Mumbai, India since 2008.Frank advises India’s top business leaders on their cross border strategy, acquisitions & capital raisings. In addition Frank has oversight for Barclays’s business within the Asia into Africa corridor and has concluded several large transactions (i.e Bharti’s USD 11bn acquisition of Zain’s African network in 2010).
Frank joined Barclays in August 2008 after 10 years at ABN AMRO, where he advised among other deals, on India’s largest outbound M&A transaction of the time (Tata’s USD 12 bn acquisition of Corus Plc); its largest privatisation (the USD 2.4 bn disposal of New Delhi and Mumbai airports); and its biggest IPO (the USD 2.3 bn listing of Reliance Power ltd).
Previously, he was with SG Warburg for 11 years, where he worked on privatizations and debt restructurings in Poland, Nigeria, Bulgaria and other emerging markets, including India.
Frank has an MA in Classics from Christ Church College, Oxford, and an MA in Arabic Studies from Georgetown.
