Vishwanath Alluri(Vish), academically a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, founded IMImobile in 2000 to capitalise on the mobile data opportunity with a vision to harness the intellectual resources of India to develop an IPR centric technology company for international markets. Today, IMImobile provides a market leading mobile communications platform, delivered as a service, and solutions powered by this platform for telecom operators, media companies and enterprises worldwide. The company has a global client portfolio with its services available to over 1 billion subscribers in 72 countries.

Keeping true to his vision of becoming an international company, IMI made 5 acquistions in UK in the last 7 years. Among them the major acquisitions are a company listed on AIM in 2010 and another in 2014. Realising the importance of having a global business headquarters in UK, IMI was transformed into a UK legal entity in 2014 and got listed on AIM in June 2014 with its business headquarters in London.

Luis Alvarez

Luis was appointed as Chief Executive Officer, BT Global Services in October 2012.  Luis was formerly President of the European, Middle East and Africa and Latin America operations of BT Global Services, serving some of BT’s biggest global customers. Luis also led BT Global Services Telecom Markets unit, managing business with carriers and operators outside the UK.

Before joining BT, Luis worked at Ericsson, IBM, Grupo Santander and Banesto.

Luis has a telecommunications engineering degree from UPM, Madrid, and continued his education at ESADE, IMD and Tuck University.

He is a member of a number of business associations. He is often called upon to speak at ICT sector international conferences and forums, including World Economic Forum events.

Luis is very active in BT’s global sustainability work, sponsoring several highly respected corporate social responsibility initiatives in Spain, Brazil and Colombia.

Luis is married and has four children.

Costas Antimissaris

Appointed as Director of International in August 2014, Costas was previously responsible for International Business Development at Marks & Spencer.

Costas has an extensive international background, having worked for Inditex for fifteen years. He was most recently the Managing Director of Uterque, part of the Inditex Group. Prior to that he was the General Managing Director of Zara Spain. Costas has also been the GM of Inditex in Greece and Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary. Prior to this he was a consultant at Ernst & Young in Greece and a consultant at the European Commission.

Costas has a Business & Economics degree from the University of Liège, Belgium. He is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Greek.

Ajit Singh Batra

Ajit Singh Batra is the General Manager for Business Development at Atul Ltd. With an experience of more than 24 years, he has undertaken various roles in the development of the organisation.

Atul Ltd is an improvement driven, integrated chemical company serving about 4,000 customers belonging to 27 industries across the world. The
Company has established subsidiary companies in the USA (1994), the UK (1996), Germany (1998), China (2004) and Brazil (2012) to serve its customers and thus enhance breadth and depth of its business.
With depth in science and technology, Atul manages almost all Unit Processes and Unit Operations to manufacture about 1,350 products and formulations and has state-of-the-art facilities and processes to ensure safety and treatment of gaseous, liquid and solid pollutants.

Akshay Bhalla

Akshay is a Markets Partner with KPMG’s India. As part of India’s overall Markets Program, Akshay is responsible for India’s High Growth Corridors (Africa, MESA, and ASPAC). He has over 18 years of experience with more than 12 years of Internal Audit and Risk Consulting Experience.

Akshay has extensive experience in providing Risk Consulting services to leading companies in the Telecom Infrastructure, Healthcare and Auto and Auto Component Industries.

Prior to joining KPMG, Akshay has worked with Protiviti India, as a Managing Director, spearheading the Internal Audit Solution. Prior to that, Akshay was running his own consulting outfit that was acquired by an International Consulting major. He started his career in Arthur Andersen and also worked in London with a leading Professional Services Firm for 2 years. He is a graduate of Sriram College of Commerce, Delhi University and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Akshay has led and advised engagements for India’s largest telecom company, India’s largest real estate company, world’s leading car manufacturer, India’s largest hospital chain and India’s leading engineering construction company.

Shereen Bhan

Shereen Bhan has an experience of 15 years, 14 of which were spent in tracking corporate, policy news and events that defined the business landscape in India. A graduate from St. Stephen’s College, New Delhi and a Masters in Communication Studies from Pune University, Shereen has been producing and anchoring flagships news shows like ‘India Business Hour’ and ‘What’s Hot’ for over a decade.

She has been responsible for breaking a range of news stories that have redefined the Indian economic landscape in recent times and has also interviewed some of the biggest names in business and politics, both domestic and global.

Shereen is also the Anchor & Editor of ‘Young Turks’, one of India’s longest running shows on entrepreneurs, hosts ‘Overdrive’, which won the News Television Award for the ‘Best Auto Show’ for three consecutive years, ‘Ministers of Change’ and ‘What Women Want’.

She has been the recipient of the ‘Best Business Talk Show’ award (News Television awards for two years consecutively), ‘FICCI Woman of the Year’ award 2005, and was named a ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum. She won the ‘Best Business Anchor Award’ at the ‘News Television Awards’ in 2013.

Dr. Jaijit Bhattacharya

Dr. Jaijit Bhattacharya is a noted Governance Transformation expert and Partner at the International Consulting firm, KPMG. He is also Adjunct Professor at IIT Delhi. He is President of Centre for Digital Economy Policy Research. He is also member of Governing Senate of IIIT Raipur and Member of Expert Committee for Ease of Doing Business legislation of Government of India. He has earlier worked in senior roles in Accenture, IBM, Oracle, Sun Microsystems and HP and has been the Founding Partner of Catallyst Constellations LLP. He has been responsible for the creation of the next generation of solutions for governments, based on open standards. Dr. Bhattacharya advises governments on e-governance strategies. He has conducted training for ADB institute in Tokyo on Public Expenditure Management and has helped World Bank develop curriculum for their e-Leadership program. He is deeply involved in Technology Policy making for the Indian Army and has coined the term “Technological Sovereignty”, based on which he runs a National Conclave on Technological Sovereignty for the Indian Army and Centre for Land Warfare Studies. He also delivers invited lectures at INSEAD Singapore campus, IIT Roorkee and at IIM Calcutta. Dr. Bhattacharya has developed business models and strategies for leading companies in the IT, media and computer hardware industries. He has numerous research papers to his credit in leading journals and conferences. He has authored five books on e-Governance, including being the co-author of the first book on e-Governance in India, ‘Government On-line – Opportunities and Challenges’, published by McGraw Hill and released by the then Honourable President of India, Shri Abdul Kalam and author of the first e-Governance textbook book in the world, “e-Gov 2.0: Policies, Processes and Technologies” that was released by the Honorable Minister of Communication and IT, Shri Kapil Sibal. He is also the author of the first book on Privacy Middleware in the world. Dr. Bhattacharya did his PhD from Department of Computer Science and Engineering IIT Delhi, MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and B.,Tech in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Snehashish Bhattacharjee

Samit Kumar Biswas

Samit has displayed proficiency in opening new and profitable product/services markets and setting up business operations in International markets with enough national market exposure. R. Chandrashekhar

Mr. Chandrashekhar is President of NASSCOM, the premier trade body for the IT-BPO Industry in India.

He has had an illustrious career with rich experience in Government. He has been Chairman of the Telecom Commission and Secretary in the Department of Telecommunications in the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India from September, 2010 till his retirement from Government service at the end of March, 2013. Earlier, he was Secretary in the Department of Information Technology from June, 2009 to September, 2010 and also held concurrent charge of this assignment from February, 2011 to March, 2012 in addition to his current charge.

As Telecom Secretary, he was responsible for driving several key policies and strategies covering licensing, spectrum management, National Broadband Plan, Convergence, Manufacturing, Investment, security, R&D and the National Telecom Policy 2012. He was the principal architect behind a triad of policies covering Telecommunications, Electronics and Information Technology that was unveiled in draft form by the Government of India in October, 2011. All the three policies were approved by the Government in 2012. The thrust of these policies is to optimally leverage Information and Communication Technologies to find innovative solutions in education, health care, financial inclusion, e-governance, skill development, employment generation, etc.

As the Secretary of the Department of Information Technology, he steered the formulation of national policies for the IT sector and for promoting Electronic System Design and Manufacturing and R&D in the Electronics and IT sector. He was also responsible for overseeing implementation of a number of major national initiatives in the sector including the National e-Governance Plan, which he played a key role in designing and in formulating the Electronic Service Delivery Act. Earlier, he established the first Department of Information Technology in the country in the state of Andhra Pradesh and was Secretary of the Department from June, 1997 to December, 1999. The policies and strategies he formulated catapulted the state to the forefront of the country in the sector and became a role model for several states and countries.

Born in 1953, Mr. Chandrashekhar received a M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a M.S. degree in Computer Science from the Pennsylvania State University, USA. He is widely travelled and has a unique understanding of cultural diversity, both within the country and across the world. He was conferred the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration for the year 2007-08. He has been conferred several awards including Data Quest Path Breaker of the Year Award in 2005 and Distinguished Alumnus award of IIT-Mumbai in 2010.
